OSA Making a Difference

The NSS - OKLAHOMA SPACE ALLIANCE
is making a difference in their community. Reaching to the Stars will be on level ground because of their generous contribution.

As per Claire McMurray, Vice President of the OSA/NSS and Region 3 Organizer

"The Cheddar Ranch Observatory is a new project of the Oklahoma City
Astronomy Club, which runs the Okie-Tex Star Party in the fall each year.

They have built an observatory/lecture hall in a rural dark-sky area west of Oklahoma City, and the Oklahoma Space Alliance NSS chapter has agreed to pay (using part of the 2004 ISDC profits) for one of the extra concrete pads where people can set up their personal telescopes. We will set up an NSS/OSA table for public outreach during the dedication."

The dedication is scheduled to take place on July 26th. During their public outreach, members of the OSA will be handing out materials to promote both the Oklahoma Space Alliance and National Space Society.
