Moon vs. Mars in public survey
A recently reported study by Dittmar Associates (summary and table of contents available from their website) finds a reasonably strong level of support for the new vision for space exploration, and a good level of understanding and support for space exploration in general (65-69%). However, the support for the new exploration vision is apparently much stronger, in this survey, in reference to the early phases and a return to the Moon. Only 18% of those surveyed supported human travel to Mars.
